Financial Aid

In Mexico and many poorer nations throughout the world, lost potential income forces most children out of school and into work. In Tijuana, 50% of students leave public schools by age 12. The Tijuana Youth Scholars program provides each student in the program with $50 per month; this small stipend is enough to keep them in school, and off of the streets, until graduation from high school.

When appropriate and possible the Scholars Lab gives additional in-kind assistance including, but not limited to, reading material, school supplies, and laptop computers upon graduation.
